The PDCA is a membership-driven Association organized for the benefit of the Dexter cattle breed and breeders. The rapidly growing PDCA consists of some of the longest active Dexter cattle breeders and largest Dexter cattle herds in North America. The American Livestock Breeds Conservancy’s 2001 Bixby-Sponenberg Breed Conservation Award recipient, Rosemary Fleharty, maintains the Dexter registry. Rosemary is the most experienced Dexter cattle Registrar in the world and continues to serve with a record of excellence in administration for Dexter cattle. Dexter cattle have recently enjoyed resurgence in popularity worldwide among both small and large landholders. Ease of handling, small size (for efficient pasture use), and good-natured personalities have made Dexter cattle a favorite for young and old. As our Association grows we hope that this site will continue to grow and be a service to the members of the PDCA. Friends of Dexters, feel free to look around and learn more about this ancient breed of hardy cattle. Please check back regularly, as we will be working here to add more information and services for members and guests. Thank you for your support of the PDCA and Dexter cattle. And thank you for visiting our Official Internet home. Stop by often and visit awhile! |
